Dr. James Maguire was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and at the age of nine relocated to Cedar City, Utah, where he spent most of his childhood. He graduated from Southern Utah University, receiving a bachelors of science degree in zoology. Dr. Maguire completed his medical education at the Western University of Health Sciences and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He attended medical school on a health profession scholarship program through the United States Army and completed his post graduate studies at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. His military obligation included the duties of being a flight surgeon with an armored cavalry regiment and that of working full-time in a busy army emergency department. After leaving army life in 1999, Dr. Maguire joined the young growing practice of Community Care where he has stayed until the present. Much like all of his partners, Dr. Maguire enjoys the diversity and challenges that practicing Urgent Care medicine has to offer and the enjoyable patients he gets to work with.
When not at work, Dr. Maguire enjoys the company of his supportive wife, Melissa, and spending time with his son and daughter.
Dr. Maguire is located in our Idaho Falls East location.
